Today is Saturday and have taken a day off after a busy week in the Village at Lwanda. Seeing God work spiritually and practically amongst the group of ladies and in the life of Mandy teaching and equipping for the vision. Persevering and keeping focussed on Gods leading through the Holy Spirit knowing that the prayers of the saints back home is producing fruit in our lives and keeping the enemy at bay, thank you to all who are following and praying for Bigheart.
So today was a duvet day - not that we need duvets here as the temperature is in the thirties, have a few friends in my room a wee mouse whom Ive affectionately called "Mickey" and George the Ghecko so life is not entirely boring, however Mickey was having a party the other night until three in the morning so sleep was little - think he's enjoying the crumbs from the ladies bread that Ive been bringing back from the village. The trip home yesterday was interesting as it had been raining heavily and the gum boots as they call them, we know them as wellingtons, literally weighed a tone as we walked the boots became more and more heavy with the mud sticking to them, good for the leg muscles!!!
Jinja town quiet on the main street as the workers are resurfacing the road, Source Cafe is busy as always with surfers like myself and those wanting good quality cups of coffee and western food......
So today has been good, missing the home fellowship in Ballymena and seeing family too though keeping in touch regularly and am well used to the climate now, and thankfully the mosquitoes have been leaving me alone...... food becoming uninteresting though sustaining...... missing independence of my own transport too...... but blessed to see how God is moving, and seeing how the ladies are learning and very happy, Pastor Grace told me this morning that his mothers life has changed dramatically, Glory to God, even a smile changes lives, yesterday we worked, sang, learnt, danced and played, I read their Lusoga bible in their language Psalm 133 and Psalm 23 they understood Hallelujah!! and then I read the english version and the ladies repeated it in english....... working together for His glory, speaking the Word together blessing our Lord Jesus together.
My heart is full and tears come when I realise just what God has done this far, oh to do the will of the Father who has sent me!!!!
Love and Blessings to you all, stay strong in the Lord and stay well, God bless
Mandy
